Editorial Board and Changes for Oncotarget

Oncotarget is a reputable biomedical journal that is published online and has open access for practitioners and the general public alike. As it is peer-reviewed, Oncotarget provides focused and accurate data, and extensive information on the latest research in the fields of medicine and biology.


The journal of Oncotarget delivers coverage for several fields such as autophagy immunology, pathology, chromosomes, aging, microbiology, and oncology as its primary focus. Each of these areas is peer-reviewed by its advisory board. The boards are rather extensive, some of them including nearly a hundred experts. He graduated from the First Pavlov State University in the large city of St. Petersburg, Russia. Mikhail V. Blagosklonny, M. D. was working in Buffalo as a Professor of Medicine up until 2016. Mikhail Blagosklonny has also been working as an associate editor of several other online journals such as Am J Pathology, PLOS ONE, Cancer Biol Ther, Cell Death Differ, Cancer Res, Autophagy, and Int J Cancer. Mikhail Bagosklonny is Editor in Chief of the journal Cell Cycle. Regarding research, Blagosklonny has been doing studies of molecular biology, signal transduction, and more. He specializes in biogerontology and oncology.

Andrei V. Gudkov, DSci, is the Senior Vice President of the Roswell Park Caer Institute where he has been researching for decades. He is also working as Professor and Garman Family Chair in the Department of Cell Stress Biology. The professor received his higher education in Russia as well. He attended the National Cancer Center and the Moscow State Universty. Andrei V. Gudkov co-founded a couple of companies such as Tartis, Inc. and Cleaveland BioLabs, Inc. He is the Chief Scientific Officer of the companies. Andrei Gudkov conducts research in gene discovery, cancer therapy treatments, drug discovery, and more.
